First Submittal Coming Up...

The first submittal for my film is coming up this friday...

Progress Report

On task- Yes, I have a lot of compositing to do to achieve what I wish to achieve by friday.

Backgrounds- I have a few more to do, some of which are plain and won't take to long to complete.

Effects- These I will have a few done by friday (to give an idea of what it will be like).. I want to concentrate on the film it's self and leave the post production to the end.

Just a sketch.

I'm currently putting together some sections of my film, I'm working in a traditional flipbook approach concentrating on the quality and style. Look out for sneak previews by the beginning of next week.

The Process

Currently working on my background to get the correct angle, colour and style, look out for any further developments. Small changes.

Giving the drawing a slight bend, in keeping with the style.

Quick test of my previous tree drawing to piece together a background.

What's going to happen.

I'm going to dedicate Tuesday evenings to posting on my blog, but just to put my best foot forward I shall post my pre-production up tomorrow.

Third Year Film

As promised, my first post of many to come. Here is a sketch to show my film idea 'On The Swings'.

Just an update on a previous project.

I was surprised, but extremely pleased to hear that my E Sting entry 'Fly Swat' for the Channel 4 E-Sting Competition had been selected as one of the finalists. I was invited to attend an awards ceremony in London, back in September to not only to hear the announcements of the winner and runner's up  but to also celebrate all of the amazing work and talent that had been produced by other E Sting finalists. Although my E Sting did not win, I'm proud to have been a part of the whole process along with being a finalist, my E Sting even got a chance to appear on the television [as did the other finalists], which an achievement in itself. However and big congratulations, to those who won.To take a look at my E-Sting you can simply follow this link-

Coming Soon...

Coming soon to my refreshed blog will be the following; Major Project Pre-Production along with any on going work. At this moment in time I'm at the stage where I can safely say... 'I think I'm getting there', Dissertation and Pre-production; handed in, now I can proceed in furthering my ideas resulting what I hope to be a successful third year film.

The process hasn't been as quick as I'd hoped, further planing/scheduling will help putting myself on track, focusing on that end goal not perfection but an agreable state (that can then be continued until a polished look can be acomplished). What can be expected; regular post will be... well posted, with this being said I must follow through as stated.

Here is the Premise to my third year film;

A short funny simply animated film, where two children swing backwards and forwards in a playground quarrelling over either everyday life situations, or something straight out of their imagination.. It will take you on journey through the mind of a six year old.

Keep an eye out for future posts, there will be some.
